sweet price, great location and fantastic staff - my favorite hotel to stay in Singapore
Another fantastic 4 nights stay at the J8 thanks to the amazing staff, the great location and the sweet price. I fully agree with Gow's review below ("J8 a Gem in Singapore", March 2023). The staff are lovely. Friendly and very helpful. I stayed only once before, about a year ago, but I was immediately recognized and very welcomed with great smiles as soon as I entered the hotel. The rooms are not large and quite a few do not have windows. However they are cleverly designed. The room I was in was fitted with multi standards socket outlets. Quite useful :) The bed is on the hard side which is what I prefer. The shower requires some precaution as it is not separate from the rest of the bathroom. A clever way to save space and promote water savings too :) The Wifi works great. 15MB download and 20MB upload. Consistently. The breakfast is served in the "Vietnamese" restaurant which is part of the hotel. It is tasty and the staff always patiently accommodate special requests. There are 4 options to choose from and I usually go for the "Bánh mì", a baguette filled with chicken and some lettuce. The location is absolutely great being not only close to a couple of MRT stations but also in a picturesque part of the city with so many food and shopping options around. At the same time the hotel is quiet which is a priority too for me ;-) Price is another good reason to stay in the J8 especially if you are able to book well in advance. J8 a Gem in Singapore
Stayed here in March 2023 for 2 nights to watch the HSBC women’s world championship golf. The hotel is great, nice location between Lavender mrt and Jalan Besar mrt. It’s so easy to get too. The room was small (single) but that’s what to expect from hotels in Singapore, but bigger than others I have had. The breakfast was a choice of Asian food or a lovely baguette. The reception staff was great and the room was clean, free water and a lovely hot shower. Highly recommended for the price in Singapore. Only a couple of rides away on the mrt from the centre. Botique hotel but service is 5 star
The Hotel is a botique however the service is Fantastic.Thanks to the Indian lady and Chinese guy(Sorry dont know their name) who help me when i book on the wrong date. The room is small buy nice.The also have neflix and you tube on TV.I will recomend this hotel to everyone???
